Our College

Wellington Secondary College is a proud and diverse co-educational state secondary college located in the City of Monash, approximately 24 kilometres south-east of Melbourne’s CBD. We welcome students and families from within our designated enrolment boundary and surrounding communities.

Established in 1973, Wellington has built a strong reputation for providing a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment where every student is encouraged to achieve their best. Our multicultural community is one of our greatest strengths, bringing together a wide range of cultures, perspectives, and experiences that enrich the life of our College.

Our values of Caring, Striving, Learning are at the heart of everything we do and are reflected in The Wellington Way. These values guide our commitment to creating a respectful, supportive, and positive environment where students feel a strong sense of belonging and are encouraged to grow with confidence.

With approximately 1,600 students and a dedicated team of teaching and support staff, Wellington provides a broad range of learning opportunities designed to support every student’s academic, personal, and social development. We believe that success comes from nurturing the whole person — supporting students to achieve excellence in their learning while developing resilience, confidence, leadership, and a positive sense of self.

Student wellbeing and learning are central to our work. We are committed to ensuring that every student is known, valued, and supported, and that all learners have the opportunity to thrive. Through high expectations, strong relationships, and a focus on continuous improvement, we prepare our students with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed for their future.

Our International Student Program further strengthens our global outlook, welcoming students from around the world and contributing to a rich and culturally diverse learning environment. This global connection helps prepare all students to participate positively in an increasingly interconnected society.

Our contemporary campus provides outstanding learning and specialist facilities that support collaboration, creativity, innovation, and student engagement, including dedicated spaces for learning, technology, the arts, sport, and wellbeing.

As we look towards the future, Wellington Secondary College remains committed to building on our proud traditions while continuing to evolve. Through our 2026–2030 Strategic Plan, we will continue to focus on excellence in learning, student wellbeing, inclusion, and preparing young people to thrive in a changing world.

We invite you to discover the Wellington Way and experience a College community where students are supported to learn, grow, and achieve their potential.
